The Guilds of Sunny Hills Services
The Guilds of Sunny Hills Services are an association of individuals who have dedicated themselves to volunteering and raising financial support on behalf of the children and families we serve. Since the early 1900’s the Guilds have raised more than a million dollars in charitable support which has helped thousands of young people over the years.
For more than a century, the Guilds produced the annual Grape Festival, an October tradition that featured a variety of homemade goodies and wares, as well as entertainment for the entire family. The final Grape Festival was held in 2006 after 106 consecutive years.
Today, there remain four active guilds in the community, and many more sustainers who choose to continue their support in various ways. Guild members raise financial support for the agency through annual events such as the Greenbrae Guild’s fashion show and luncheon and and the Glenwood Guild's bingo night, to name just two. This year, members of the Guilds have adopted the Marin Academic Center, a program of Sunny Hills, and provide birthday treats and holiday goodies throughout the year for the children.
