Mary was appointed CEO of Sunny Hills Services in January 2010. Previously, Mary served as Sunny Hills' Chief Finance and Administrative Officer (2008 to December 2009), and Chief Financial Officer (2000 to 2003). Prior to joining the agency, Mary consulted with major international banks and financial institutions in strategy, policy and business implementation in international investments and financial markets, following a 19-year career at Bank of America in international syndicated lending and investment management. She has consulted in the nonprofit sector and formerly served on the board of directors for the Marin Humane Society. Mary is a California native, and lived and worked in both New York and Latin America before returning to the Bay Area. She is proficient in Spanish and French and received her bachelor's degree in economics at the University of California, Riverside, Phi Beta Kappa. She holds a master's in business administration in Finance and International Business from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Alex joined the staff of BAYC as a Clinical Supervisor in June 2009. Alex moved to the Bay Area from Chicago where she provided direct services to youth in school, residential treatment, and private practice settings. Prior to pursuing her M.S.W., Alex had a career as an attorney in California and Texas. In 2013, Alex was appointed the Executive Director, East Bay. She oversees the administration of all of the BAYC programs, including RAFA Transitional Housing, residential treatment, community-based mental health programs, LGBTQ services, and Refocus. Alex received her master's degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago and is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). She received her J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin and her B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University, in New York.

Mary Kaye is a visionary administrator with more than 30 years of outstanding in senior-level strategic planning, policy making and financial and program management.  Mary Kaye ensures exceptional outcomes for clients, regulatory and contractual compliance, financial sustainability and the management and support of all program staff. Perhaps most importantly, she is the primary “holder of the Sunny Hills mission,” and is committed to furthering our reach, so that our exceptional programs touch more youth and positively impact more young lives. Based at the agency’s San Anselmo location,  she oversees all Sunny Hills programs in five Bay Area counties. She is a graduate of California State University (BA), and holds a master's degree in Human Resource Management from Keller Graduate School of Management.

Jeanne Scott, LMFT - Executive Director of Marin Programs

Jeanne Scott, M.S., LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, holding a graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Francisco State University. She has been a part of Sunny Hills Services since 1998, serving many of those years in direct-service clinical positions. Since 2013, Jeanne has had the responsibility and oversight of various behavioral, mental health and educational programs. In 2016, Jeanne was appointed the Executive Director, Marin. Current programs include the Marin TAY Program, serving transitional age youth, ages 16 to 25, who have serious mental health diagnoses; Irene M. Hunt School of Marin, a certified non-public school serving 40 students from kindergarten to 12th grade who have identified special education needs for academic and behavioral challenges; and by mid-2017, two new adolescent substance use treatment programs, one residential and one intensive 20-hour per week program, both for co-ed 13 to 17 year olds.

Laura Taylor Program Manager, Marin Transitional Age Youth (TAY) Program

Laura Taylor worked at Sunny Hills in a variety of positions in our residential treatment programs from 1995 to 2009, including more than 10 years as a Residential Supervisor.  Laura left Sunny Hills in 2009 and was employed at another non-profit agency, focusing on and specializing in older adolescent/transitional age youth work.   She returned to Sunny Hills in December, 2014 to assume the new position of Program Manager for the Marin Transitional Age Youth (TAY) Program, bringing her knowledge of working with youth with mental health challenges, helping youth develop independent living skills and her remarkable abilities of youth engagement.   Laura has a B.A. in Child Development from San Diego State University.
