Cathy Kennedy has been supporting Sunny Hills Services in the greater Marin community for over twenty years. Her involvement with the agency includes service on the board of directors and recognition for outstanding financial support, along with her husband, as founding members of the agency's Leadership Circle (pictured here with her husband Dan Grossman and Sunny Hills' CEO, Joe Costa).
Cathy's community involvement extends beyond Sunny Hills, helping vulnerable children in many areas. She notes that "My parents and grandfather were lifelong contributors to humanitarian causes and to services for underprivileged children in particular, so making charitable contributions is a family tradition and a way for me to honor those values. I come from a large family and my husband and I have a big family, so I hope our own kids learn how important and satisfying it can be to give to others."
As a child psychiatrist, Cathy is particularly aware of the impact that Sunny Hills has on the lives of children and families. "Sunny Hills has an enduring legacy as a highly respected and effective agency committed to providing excellent care to children and families," she notes. "It gives me a sense of security that my contributions will be appreciated and put to good use helping kids from our own surrounding communities who have tremendous need and tremendous potential."
In recognizing both the need and the potential of each of the children we help, Cathy is embodying the mission that Sunny Hills has embraced for over 100 years. Sunny Hills is proud to count her among our agency's supporters and friends. Thank you Cathy! |
